Welcome

If you’ve found your way here, chances are someone you trust thought I might be able to help your child grow and thrive. I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and share how I work with families like yours.

My name is Alex Papp, and I’ve spent 20 years working in some of the world’s most respected schools, helping children build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. With a master’s degree in curriculum design, a bachelor’s degree in special education and a passion for personalized learning, I specialize in working with families who want to help their children unlock their full potential.

What I Offer

  • Children often need tools and strategies to manage their time, organize their work, and tackle challenges with confidence. I work with students to develop these skills, empowering them to approach their learning with a sense of purpose and resilience.

  • Reading can be a joy, but for some children, it’s also a struggle. Using research-based strategies, I provide explicit, tailored instruction to help your child improve their fluency, accuracy, and comprehension—and to rediscover the joy of reading.

  • Helping children find their writing voice through engaging, meaningful instruction. Whether developing foundational writing skills, crafting compelling narratives, or tackling academic writing, sessions are tailored to each child's needs. Special support is available for students working on the PYP Exhibition, guiding them through research, structuring their ideas, and refining their writing for a polished final product.

  • Math is more than memorizing formulas or solving equations—it’s about thinking creatively, exploring patterns, and developing a deep understanding of numbers. Drawing on researched-based strategies, I help students approach math with curiosity and confidence, showing them how mistakes and challenges can lead to growth. Together, we work to build flexibility in thinking, persistence in problem-solving, and a true appreciation for the beauty and logic of math.

Let’s Meet

Every child is unique, and so is every family. That’s why I offer a free introductory meeting—an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss your child’s needs, and explore whether my approach might be the right fit for your family.

Sincerely,

Alex Papp, M.Ed
